This great apartment rehabilitation in Los Feliz was so exciting because we had free range to do what we wanted. The criteria was to take an outdated pink building with scrolled railings and transform it into something modern and hip to attract residents in this up and coming neighborhood. First on the agenda was defining the building's hidden entry by building an canopy. We framed out all the windows with molding and used bold bright paint colors to modernize the exterior and add dimensions to the flat plane. We gutted the interior unit and completely remodeled it. We reconfigured the kitchen to open the space and maximize the space. We installed new white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, glass mosaic, stainless steel appliances and a great sputnik chandelier. A bright blue accent wall in the living room ties into the blue of the kitchen tile. Durable grey laminate "wood" floor was installed throughout brightening up the space and really improving its aesthetic. The bathroom was completely gutted and new tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting and cabinetry was installed. The white subway tile was stacked to give a more modern feel with a glass herringbone accent liner. This once boring clashing outdated building is fun modern and fresh attracting new tenants quickly.
